This cottage garden is located in the Historic ‘Deco District’ of San Antonio, known for it’s charming vintage homes.

I was inspired by the clients love of English culture and by the greats of English gardening, such as Gertrude Jekyll and Christopher Lloyd.

My client requested a ‘Fairy tale garden’, and a space that she could feel lost in. The winding paths and creative use of materials create a truly magical space.

This garden features English classics: Boxwood, Irises and of course, lots of Roses! I have also included many Texas natives and drought tolerant plants, to reinforce this gardens tolerance to extreme weather and encourage pollinators.

The garden is an imaginative space to get lost in, just don’t fall through the looking glass!
